Construction of Lahore’s first tourism highway, the “Wagah Heritage Corridor,” Completed

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Construction of Lahore’s first tourism highway, the “Wagah Heritage Corridor,” has been completed, and the inauguration ceremony is set to take place today.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi will attend the opening ceremony. A total of Rs. 285 million has been spent on this world-model project from Quaid-e-Azam Interchange to Wagah Border.

Domestic and foreign tourists coming to watch the parade at Wagah Border will now have access to international-standard travel facilities.

It is noteworthy that the construction from Quaid-e-Azam Interchange to Wagah Border (Zero Line) was completed rapidly. The 13-kilometer-long project cost Rs. 285 million, and the road has been widened on both sides to provide better travel facilities to millions of citizens.

The dual carriage tourism highway is 68 feet wide, and 20-foot-wide service roads have also been built on both sides.
