LRA Delegation Meeting with Ali Dar Leads to Lifting of Restaurant Time Restriction

A recent meeting between the Lahore Restaurant Association (LRA) delegation and Advisor to CM Punjab on AI & Special Initiatives Ali Dar has resulted in a significant relief for the restaurant sector, following constructive discussions on industry challenges.

The delegation comprising Secretary General Ahmad Shafiq, and executive members Ali Chaudhry, Raza Fawaz Yousaf, Adnan Ilyas, and others presented key concerns of the hospitality industry, particularly related to operational restrictions affecting business sustainability.

While talking to the Hospitality Plus, Ahmad Shafiq stated that the meeting proved highly productive, with Ali Dar playing a pivotal and facilitative role in bridging communication between the industry and the Government of Punjab.

He added that following this successful engagement and the effective representation of the industry’s concerns, the Government of Punjab took a positive decision to lift the 10PM restaurant restriction, providing long-awaited relief to the hospitality sector.

He termed the development a “major, business-friendly and timely step” that will help restaurants stabilize operations, improve customer activity, and sustain employment during challenging economic conditions.

LRA has expressed deep appreciation to all stakeholders involved, stating that the outcome reflects the importance of dialogue, coordination, and mutual understanding between the public and private sectors.

The association reaffirmed its commitment to continue constructive engagement with the government for the long-term growth and stability of the hospitality industry in Punjab.
