COTHM Cavalry Ground Students Gain Practical Food Safety Experience

Students from the COTHM Cavalry Campus visited the COTHM Head Office in New Garden Town, Lahore, on 14 September 2026, for an enriching learning experience focused on food safety and hygiene.

The educational visit provided students with an opportunity to move beyond classroom theory and explore food safety from a practical and professional perspective. During their visit, the students toured the Food Safety Kitchen and Laboratory, where they were introduced to modern food safety techniques, practical controls and professional methodologies used to promote safe food practices.

As part of the visit, students also participated in a brief interactive session covering the fundamentals of food safety systems, their implementation and their importance in real-world food operations. The session helped students connect their academic understanding with practical applications and industry expectations.

While COTHM campuses provide students with opportunities for practical learning as part of their academic journey, the visit to the New Garden Town Head Office offered an additional perspective and broader exposure to food safety practices within a professional learning environment.

The students remained actively engaged throughout the visit, interacting with the learning environment and gaining valuable insights into the systems and practices that support food safety across professional food operations. They also expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to experience food safety education beyond the conventional classroom setting.

The visit reflected COTHM’s continued emphasis on practical, industry-focused education, enabling students to strengthen their understanding through exposure to professional environments and real-world applications.

By connecting academic concepts with practical experiences, initiatives such as these help students develop a deeper understanding of professional standards and prepare them for the responsibilities and expectations of the food and hospitality industries.
