The Chefs Association of Pakistan (CAP) Lahore Chapter held a meeting bringing together leading culinary professionals to discuss initiatives for strengthening the professional chef community, expanding membership, and creating new opportunities for Pakistani chefs at national and international levels.
The meeting was led by CAP Secretary General and COTHM JT Executive Director Mr. Mian Shahid Mahmood, with the proceedings supported by Lahore Chapter Vice President Chef Tippu Imran, Lahore Chapter Secretary Chef Hassan Arshad, Vice President HoReCa Mr. Fraaz Kasuri, and Culinary Research & Development Director Chef Mian Saqib Jahangir.
The meeting was graciously facilitated by Mr. Shah ur Rehman, CEO of Tabaq Restaurant, whose support provided a platform for members of the culinary community to come together and discuss matters of professional development and collaboration.
Key discussions focused on strengthening CAP membership and community engagement, with participants exploring ways to further connect culinary professionals and support a stronger professional network. The meeting also included discussions on upcoming International Chefs Day celebrations and related activities for the culinary community.
Another important area of discussion was the APF, along with opportunities for Pakistani chefs to participate in international programmes and professional engagements. The members discussed ways to facilitate greater international exposure and create pathways that can help Pakistani culinary professionals connect with global platforms.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of promoting and preserving Pakistan’s rich culinary heritage. Participants discussed the need to strengthen recognition of Pakistani cuisine and culinary talent while creating opportunities for chefs to represent the country’s diverse food culture on international platforms.
The meeting was attended by Chef Muhammad Naeem Jamil, Chef Abdul Waheed, Chef Irshad Ali, Chef Abid Hussain Balti, Chef Sharoon Deepak, Chef Muhammad Bilal, Chef Usman Ali, Chef Rizwan ul Haq, Chef Muhammad Faizan Chaudhary, Chef Ali Raza (Lasani), Chef Ali Raza (Caspian Sea), Chef Haseeb Zahid, Chef Ahmad Ali, Chef Taimoor Khan, Chef Muhammad Momin, Chef Rukhsana Tabassum, Chef Nayab Zulfiqar, Chef Muhammad Nawaz, Chef Shehroz Shafique, Chef Jahanzaib Babar, and Chef Faiza Iqbal.
The gathering reflected CAP Lahore Chapter’s continued focus on professional collaboration, culinary leadership, international engagement and community development. By bringing chefs together around shared priorities, the chapter aims to contribute to the continued development and recognition of Pakistan’s culinary profession.
