COTHM Garden Town, in collaboration with the Academy of Wellness, Nutrition & Food Safety and Apna Card, organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar to promote health education, encourage early awareness and highlight the importance of informed decisions regarding breast health.
The seminar featured Dr. Rida Imran, MBBS, FCPS (General Surgery), Senior Registrar at FMH, as the guest speaker. She addressed the importance of breast cancer awareness, timely medical consultation and understanding the need for professional medical guidance when health concerns arise.
The session provided participants with an opportunity to learn about recognizing potential warning signs, seeking appropriate medical advice and encouraging open conversations about breast cancer. The initiative emphasized the role of health education in helping individuals make informed decisions and understand the importance of seeking timely professional assessment.
The seminar reflected the shared commitment of COTHM Garden Town, the Academy of Wellness, Nutrition & Food Safety and Apna Card to promoting community well-being through educational activities and healthcare awareness initiatives.
The activity also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, through its focus on health awareness, and SDG 4: Quality Education, by providing opportunities for learning and informed decision-making.
Through initiatives like this, COTHM Garden Town and its collaborating partners continue to encourage preventive health awareness, access to reliable health information and a more informed, health-conscious community.
