CAP Karachi Chapter Holds Inaugural Meeting at Mövenpick Hotel

The first-ever meeting of the Karachi Chapter of the Chefs’ Association of Pakistan (CAP) was successfully held on 10th December 2025 at Mövenpick Hotel, bringing together leading culinary professionals from across the city. The session commenced at 3:00 PM with a strong turnout of CAP members and leadership, marking a significant milestone for the Karachi culinary community.

The event featured virtual participation from Chef Raees (USA) via Zoom, alongside CAP President Ahmed Shafiq. Ms. Aisha Mushtaq opened the meeting and invited Chef Amir Iqbal to deliver the welcome remarks, while GM Khurram Awan acknowledged and appreciated the contributions of Karachi’s culinary experts. Faraz Kasuri presented three engaging videos covering the Pakistan International Culinary Championship (PICC) 2026, the Asia Presidents Forum bid, and upcoming CAP programs.

Chef Raees provided an in-depth briefing on PICC 2026, detailing the competition categories, registration process, and CAP membership benefits. The interactive Q&A session allowed members to clarify queries and gain insights into participating effectively. The meeting concluded at 5:00 PM with a group photo and high tea, leaving participants praising the event as an excellent and long-awaited gathering for Karachi’s culinary community.
