The South Punjab Convocation 2025 was held in a grand ceremony at the newly established campus of the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) in Multan. The event marked a major milestone for hospitality and vocational education in the region, where graduates from the fields of hospitality management, culinary arts, baking, and travel & tourism received their certifications.
The convocation was attended by several distinguished guests, including Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor of Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB), who served as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Professor Dr. Kulsoom Paracha, Vice Chancellor of Women University Multan; Mr. Ahmad Shafiq, Founder and CEO of COTHM Global UK; Mr. Muhammad Waqas Raza, Executive Director of COTHM South Punjab; and renowned social influencer Dr. Javed Iqbal.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran praised the role of COTHM in promoting skill-based education in Southern Punjab. “COTHM’s modern campus stands as a milestone in delivering quality education and hands-on training, equipping our youth with globally relevant skills,” he said.
Professor Dr. Kulsoom Paracha appreciated the institution’s commitment to holistic student development. “This institution does more than teach—it builds confidence, capability, and a forward-thinking mindset in its students,” she remarked.
Echoing similar sentiments, Professor Dr. Javed Iqbal stated, “COTHM is driving a positive transformation in Southern Punjab’s educational landscape, and its impact is truly commendable.”
Mr. Ahmad Shafiq, the visionary behind the COTHM network, highlighted the global relevance of the programs offered. “Our students’ success is our success. This new campus will serve as a launchpad for thousands of young professionals to shine globally in the hospitality industry,” he said.
Mr. Muhammad Waqas Raza, Executive Director for South Punjab, emphasized the importance of access to international-standard training. “We’ve proven that with vision, hard work, and commitment, it is possible to provide global-standard facilities right here in South Punjab,” he stated.
During the ceremony, graduating students had the honor of receiving their degrees directly from the distinguished guests. Each guest personally awarded certificates to the graduates, making the moment even more memorable and inspiring.
