ISLAMABAD – China has reiterated its firm support to enhance Pakistan’s economic resilience and strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors.

During the sixth Round of Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) through “high-quality cooperation,” signaling the launch of an upgraded phase of the landmark initiative central to the Belt and Road vision.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, emphasized that high-quality development remains a key priority for both nations. He also commended Pakistan’s immense sacrifices in combating terrorism.

Both countries agreed that the Pakistan-China strategic cooperative partnership is indispensable for ensuring regional stability.
