COTHM Celebrates Excellence at Grand Annual Convocation 2025 in Lahore

The College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) held its Annual Convocation 2025 on October 29 at Faletti’s Hotel Lahore grandly and festively. More than six hundred graduates from various disciplines, including Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, Hospitality, Travel and Tours, and Food Safety and Nutrition, received their degrees and certificates at the event.

Outstanding students were honoured with Presidential Awards and High Achievers titles, while first, second, and third position holders were presented with shields and certificates in recognition of their excellent academic performance.

Addressing the gathering, COTHM CEO Ahmad Shafiq said that the institution is fully committed to raising the standards of hospitality and tourism education in Pakistan to meet global benchmarks. He added that COTHM graduates are making Pakistan proud around the world, and the convocation marks a tribute to their hard work, perseverance, and passion.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Senator Bushra Anjum Butt, Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Federal Education and Professional Training; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor of the University of the Punjab Lahore; Prof. Dr. Zebunnisa Hasan, Vice Chancellor of the University of Home Economics Lahore; Adnan Afzal Chatha, Chairperson of the CM Punjab Task Force for Skills Development; Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigal, President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Khurram Lodhi, Vice President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Col. (R) Mubashar Javed, former Lord Mayor of Lahore; Muhammad Rauf Nawaz, Controller of Examinations at the University of the Punjab; and Prof. Dr. Sajid Rashid Ahmad, Dean of the Faculty of Geo-Sciences at the University of the Punjab.

All distinguished guests appreciated COTHM’s contributions to skill-based education, emphasizing the institution’s role in equipping youth with practical knowledge and helping them secure a strong position in both local and international markets.

The ceremony concluded with good wishes for the graduating students and a reaffirmation of their commitment to Pakistan’s development and progress.
