COTHM Celebrates World Smile Day: Promoting Happiness and Mental Wellbeing Among Students

The College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) celebrated World Smile Day with great enthusiasm, spreading the message of positivity, kindness, and emotional well-being among its students.

The celebration highlighted that COTHM not only focuses on equipping the youth with professional skills in hospitality, culinary arts, and tourism but also places strong emphasis on mental growth and personal happiness. The event encouraged students to embrace the power of a smile — a simple yet impactful gesture that promotes emotional balance, confidence, and a healthy learning environment.

Addressing the students, COTHM CEO Ahmad Shafiq said, “At COTHM, we believe success is not only about skills and knowledge, but also about maintaining a positive mindset and emotional strength. A smile can change one’s day — and that’s where true hospitality begins.”

Students participated in interactive sessions, team-building activities, and motivational talks designed to reinforce empathy, optimism, and teamwork — core values that COTHM integrates into its educational philosophy.

By observing World Smile Day, COTHM once again reaffirmed its commitment to holistic student development, nurturing both professional excellence and mental wellness for a brighter, happier future.
