COTHM Sarai Alamgir Hosts Cap Ceremony for 49 Aspiring Culinary Professionals

The College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) Sarai Alamgir celebrated the accomplishments of 49 students across four graduating batches with a cap ceremony held on campus yesterday.

Presiding over the event were two noted figures in Pakistan’s culinary scene: Chef Muzzamil Hussain, Head Chef at Bridge Lounge with more than two decades of industry experience, and Executive Chef Asif Butt, who has served at COTHM for 11 years. Their presence underscored the institution’s commitment to connecting students with seasoned professionals.

Campus Manager Syed Hamza Bukhari opened the ceremony with remarks on the tradition’s importance, emphasizing the cap as a symbol of competence, responsibility, and readiness to enter professional kitchens. He praised the graduates’ dedication and encouraged them to uphold COTHM’s standards of excellence.

Following the address, Chef Hussain and Chef Butt presented certificates to each student, formally recognizing their achievements and successful program completion. The ceremony concluded with group photographs and networking, marking an inspiring milestone for the newest cohort of COTHM-trained culinary talent.

With this event, COTHM Sarai Alamgir continues to advance its mission of producing skilled hospitality professionals equipped to elevate Pakistan’s food and tourism industries.
