In a continued effort to support and strengthen Pakistan’s aviation sector, the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) reaffirmed its commitment to industry engagement through a high-level meeting with Gerry’s International in Lahore. Mr. Kashif Zia, Senior Manager Training, Development, and Industry Liaison at COTHM IATA Authorized Training Center, Lahore, met with Ms. Seemab Zaman, General Manager North & Central, and Mr. Hassan Bukhari, Regional Manager Central Punjab, to discuss strategic areas of collaboration aimed at developing a future-ready aviation workforce.
The meeting focused on organizing structured soft skills training programs tailored to the evolving needs of the aviation industry, alongside exploring meaningful job placement opportunities for COTHM students. Both sides emphasized the critical role of integrating academic learning with industry-based, on-the-job training to bridge skill gaps and enhance career readiness among aspiring aviation professionals.
Through such initiatives, COTHM continues to play a proactive role in endorsing and supporting the aviation industry by aligning its training frameworks with real-world operational requirements. The engagement reflects COTHM’s broader mission to cultivate skilled, confident, and industry-aligned graduates who can contribute effectively to Pakistan’s growing aviation and service sectors.
