COVID-19: A blessing in disguise?

As the COVID-19 has made its presence deeply felt in the sector of hospitality and tourism, most of the restaurants owners and tourism operators are not feeling comfortable in the business.

But as every night has a dawn, bad days also entail to good days. COVID-19 besides disturbing the sectors of hospitality and tourism has given us new dimensions as well. A lot of new practices have been introduced and practiced during the pandemic time and all we need is to continue with those practices in the future as well.

The things we have learnt from the coronavirus outbreak are personal hygiene, safe distance, and healthy food habits. Being honest, all these things must be taken care of in post-pandemic days too.

All the necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) the government has introduced must be followed permanently to make the customer experience safer yet enjoyable.

A big responsibility also lies on the clients as well who should comply with the rules and regulations of the outlets to make this industry sustainable than ever.

One more thing that has been observed during the pandemic days is the unity among the restaurants owners and workers. It is all because of the efforts of the restaurants owners and workers that the government has allowed the restaurants and tourism industry to resume their work earlier than expected. This unity and forbearance should be seen in future too so that everybody may feel comfortable in his/her job.

In short, God has given us all a great opportunity to work better and earn better in a more informed, educated and reliable world and we all should make use of this opportunity to the fullest of our abilities.
