CultuRise Launches with Grand Ceremony at PNCA: “Preserving the Lost Era”

In a powerful initiative to protect and promote Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, CultuRise officially launched its operations with a grand ceremony held at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), Islamabad. Titled “Preserving the Lost Era”, the event brought together a distinguished audience including Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, ambassadors from over ten countries, government officials, artists, and cultural advocates.

A collaborative effort between CultuRise, ArtSoch Contemporary, and PNCA, the event marked the beginning of a visionary journey to safeguard both tangible and intangible elements of Pakistan’s cultural legacy—ranging from historic landmarks and artifacts to languages, traditions, and folklore.

The evening commenced with welcoming remarks by Dr. Muhammad Amjad, Chairman and Co-founder of CultuRise, who highlighted Pakistan’s role as the custodian of a civilization that spans thousands of years. “Preserving this vast legacy and transmitting it to future generations is both a responsibility and a necessity,” he said, addressing the audience.

Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani delivered a keynote address emphasizing the urgency of cultural preservation. “We are the custodians of a glorious civilization, but our heritage is under threat,” he noted. “The need for a collective effort involving Parliament, institutions, and individuals has never been greater.” He applauded CultuRise for its modern and impactful approach, reaffirming the Senate’s full support in making cultural heritage protection a national priority.

A highlight of the evening was a curated art exhibition in partnership with ArtSoch Contemporary. Featuring works by both celebrated and emerging artists, the exhibition portrayed the cultural depth of Pakistan through powerful visual storytelling. Mariam Hanif, Founder of Art Soch Gallery, along with ambassadors from Hungary and Denmark, addressed the attendees, underscoring the global relevance of CultuRise’s mission.

In her address, Sana Durrani, CEO and Co-founder of CultuRise, and a member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), emphasized the role of culture in fostering national unity. “Civilization and culture are threads that weave together the fabric of a nation,” she stated. “At CultuRise, we aim to use modern tools and inclusive approaches to preserve and promote this fabric for the youth of today and tomorrow.”

Beyond celebration, the event laid the groundwork for long-term diplomatic and institutional collaboration. By fostering engagement across political, diplomatic, artistic, and business communities, CultuRise aims to initiate heritage-based educational programs, research projects, and nationwide cultural awareness campaigns.

The ceremony concluded with a gift presentation to honored guests and a cultural feast featuring traditional cuisine from across Pakistan, offering attendees a sensory experience of the country’s regional diversity.

The CultuRise launch ceremony was more than a milestone—it was a message of resilience, pride, and continuity. As articulated by Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, “Cultural heritage must not just be remembered—it must be protected, celebrated, and passed on.”

In a world increasingly shaped by globalization and cultural homogenization, CultuRise stands as a vital reminder of the importance of roots, stories, and shared identity. With passionate leadership and a clear vision, CultuRise is set to become a cornerstone in preserving and celebrating the soul of Pakistan.
