At the Pakistan NextGen Hospitality Challenge 2025, organized by the College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM), students and young professionals were reminded of the timeless values that define true success in hospitality.
Addressing the participants, Nisar Chaudhry, Executive Director of Yum Group of Restaurants, highlighted the essence of the industry, stating:
“Discipline, teamwork, and creativity are the true ingredients of success in hospitality. Carry these values with pride.”
His message resonated strongly in an environment where future leaders of Pakistan’s hospitality sector showcased their skills in diverse competitions — from Front Office Management to Tourist Destination Management. The presence of international figures, including Dr. Rick Stephen, Vice President of Worldchefs, and Mel Nathan, Founder of the Executive Chefs Club, Australia, further emphasized the global importance of such platforms.
The Challenge, hosted by COTHM, not only tested technical expertise but also celebrated innovation, collaboration, and leadership among students from campuses nationwide. Nisar Chaudhry’s words served as a reminder that while knowledge and technical skills are vital, values like teamwork, creativity, and discipline truly distinguish hospitality professionals on the global stage.
