A delegation of 11 students from the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM), representing the departments of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts, visited the prestigious Dusit Thani College in Bangkok, Thailand, as part of an international exposure tour. The delegation was led by Group Head Mian Shahid Mehmood, Team Manager Fraaz Kasuri, and Executive Chef Tipu Imran.

The Dusit Thani team warmly received the delegation, providing a guided tour of the college’s modern academic and training facilities. A multimedia presentation offered a comprehensive introduction to Dusit Thani’s educational model and its role in shaping the region’s hospitality industry.

John Lohr, Executive Director of External Affairs at Dusit Thani College, joined the group after the campus tour and presentation. He had lunch with the delegation and expressed great enthusiasm about the collaboration between the two institutions.

Highlighting future cooperation, Lohr announced that Dusit Thani College is ready to welcome COTHM students across multiple disciplines through a range of exciting international opportunities, including:

  • Paid internships at Dusit Thani properties;
  • Job placements for qualified graduates;
  • An exclusive 4-month study+internship program specially designed for COTHM students, merging academic learning with hands-on industry experience;
  • Prospects of a formal student exchange program to start global engagement and cultural exchange.

Lohr commended COTHM for its educational excellence, stating, “COTHM is the best hospitality and culinary arts college in Pakistan,” and shared Dusit Thani’s keen interest in building long-term academic and industry linkages.

As a part of the visit, all delegation members were awarded certificates for completing the One-Day Bangkok Destination Program — a prestigious initiative that introduces visiting students to Thailand’s hospitality sector.

The group also visited the Dusit Thani Princess Hotel, located adjacent to the college, where they gained valuable insights into luxury hotel operations in a real-world setting.

This visit marked a pivotal moment in expanding international career and education pathways for COTHM students, affirming Dusit Thani College’s commitment to nurturing global talent and cross-border collaboration.
