Lahore – In a bid to strengthen academia-industry linkages and create career opportunities for students, Mr. Kashif Zia, Senior Manager – Training, Development, and Industry Liaison at COTHM IATA Authorized Training Center, Lahore, visited My CAB | My DMC Travel Management Company.
During the visit, Mr. Zia held a detailed meeting with Ms. Zara Sajjad Bukhari, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Muzamil Mehmood, General Manager Sales & Business Development.
The discussion centered on collaborative initiatives to enhance student career readiness. Key areas included the organization of a student-focused workshop covering tour packages, soft skills training, and job placement opportunities. Both sides also stressed the critical role of academic learning integrated with on-the-job industry training to equip students with practical skills demanded by the modern travel and tourism sector.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Kashif Zia emphasized COTHM’s continued efforts to foster partnerships that benefit its students by bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations.
