Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will undertake a two-day official visit to Pakistan on 2–3 August 2025, at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
As per the latest schedule, President Pezeshkian will arrive in Lahore on 2nd August, where he will be received by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider. During his stay in Lahore, the Iranian President will pay homage to the national poet, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, at Mazar-e-Iqbal.
Later the same night, President Pezeshkian will travel to Islamabad.
On 3rd August, he will spend a full working day in Islamabad, holding separate meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.
During the visit, several agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) are expected to be signed, focusing on bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
Ahead of the visit, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, arrived in Islamabad from Tehran. He is scheduled to hold a meeting at the Foreign Ministry to finalize the agenda and discuss the documentation related to the agreements and MOUs.
The military leadership of Pakistan is also expected to hold a meeting with President Pezeshkian during his stay in the capital.
In addition, the Iranian President will engage with notable figures from Pakistani society, including religious scholars, media representatives, and academics.
