NextGen Hospitality Challenge 2026 Inaugurated with Excitement and Vision

The NextGen Hospitality Challenge 2026 was inaugurated in a vibrant ceremony under the theme “Hospitality 360 and the Artificial Intelligence Era.” Students from COTHM campuses across Pakistan gathered at Alhamara, ready to showcase their talent and innovation.

A team specially traveled all the way from Cyprus to participate in the Pakistan NextGen Hospitality Challenge 2026, Season 2, bringing an international flavor to the prestigious event. Their presence added a global perspective to the competition, inspiring both local and international students to exchange ideas, share innovative practices, and showcase their skills on a cross-cultural platform. The Cypriot team’s participation reflects the growing recognition of PNHC as a leading stage for hospitality talent, not just in Pakistan but across the region.

The event began with a lively balloon-release ceremony and the distribution of competition kits to all students, marking an energetic start to the challenge. Participants were then grouped according to their selected categories. The proceedings were professionally hosted by Fraaz Kasuri, Vice President HioReCa+ Acedemy Pakistan.

The NextGen Hospitality Challenge 2026 was officially inaugurated by Ahmad Shafiq, Founder, President & CEO of COTHM International, alongside Zainab Ahmad Shafiq, Founder & CEO of Chocolate Academy Pakistan. The ribbon-cutting ceremony symbolized a new era of innovation and opportunity for hospitality education in Pakistan.

Ahmad Shafiq said, “I see the faces here that can bring real change. These are the future leaders, and it is our responsibility to polish their skills to meet global standards.”

Zainab Ahmad Shafiq added, “The world is not only watching but also recognizing the quality and innovation being produced here in Pakistan.”

Other distinguished guests shared their insights and encouragement:

Fareeha Zeeshan said, “Platforms like PNHC shape not just careers, but individuals who can make a positive impact on society.”

Shista Khawar shared, “Hospitality today is about creativity, presentation, and innovation, and it is inspiring to see students embracing these qualities at such a high level.”

Kamran Sheikh emphasized, “Initiatives like PNHC bridge the gap between education and real-world hospitality experience.”

Amir Khawaja encouraged students, saying, “The future belongs to those willing to learn, adapt, and maintain excellence.”

Asim Ibrahim reflected, “In the era of artificial intelligence, success in hospitality depends on combining technology with human creativity.”

The event concluded with team formation, after which all teams, including the team from Cyprus, departed for industry visits, giving students a chance to apply their skills in real-world settings.

With its focus on innovation, skill development, and leadership, the NextGen Hospitality Challenge 2026 promises to be a transformative platform, shaping the next generation of Pakistan’s hospitality stars.
