The National Skills University (NSU) Islamabad will mark World Youth Skills Day 2025 with the theme “Youth Empowerment through AI and Digital Skills.” The event aims to spotlight the transformative role of advanced technologies in shaping the future of Pakistan’s youth.
Ms. Wajia Qamar, Minister of State for the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training, will grace the occasion as Chief Guest. She will deliver the keynote address and join a symbolic walk showcasing the power of artificial intelligence and digital skills in uplifting communities.
This celebration underscores the federal government’s strong commitment to modernizing skills education. Ms. Qamar’s interaction with students and faculty will shed light on national policies focused on innovation-driven youth development.
At the forefront of this transformation is NSU — Pakistan’s only federally chartered skills-focused university — rapidly gaining prominence through its cutting-edge training programs in AI, data science, cloud computing, digital fabrication, and other emerging technologies.
Much of this progress is attributed to the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Founding Vice Chancellor, who has transformed NSU into a hub of innovation and academic excellence. The university, with its main campus in Islamabad and the expanding Sarmad Tanveer Campus in Muridke, Sheikhupura, is setting new benchmarks in technical education aligned with global standards.
Tomorrow’s event will not only celebrate achievements but also reaffirm Pakistan’s ambition to lead in the digital age through youth empowerment and inclusive education.
