On the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, Ahmad Shafiq, Founder/President & CEO of COTHM Pakistan & COTHM Global UK, has called on the nation—especially its youth—to work together in making Pakistan “great again,” reviving the vision, unity, and economic vibrancy the country enjoyed during the 1960s.

“Pakistan is once again moving on the right trajectory,” Ahmad Shafiq said while talking to Hospitality Plus. “The world is beginning to recognise our potential. Our resources, talent, and resilience can take us to new heights if we harness them with purpose and discipline.”

Highlighting the role of COTHM in Pakistan’s economic growth, the Founder/President & CEO of COTHM noted that for over two decades, the institution has been producing world-class professionals in hospitality, tourism, and culinary arts, enabling Pakistan’s youth to compete globally and contribute directly to the country’s financial independence.

He stressed that Pakistan’s “youth bulge” is its most powerful asset: “You are the engine that will drive our future. Let’s rekindle the spirit of the 1960s, when Pakistan was a rising star in Asia—admired for its vision and progress. Through unity, innovation, and determination, we can make Pakistan great again.”

Concluding his message, he reaffirmed COTHM’s commitment to equipping young Pakistanis with the skills and mindset needed to shape a prosperous future.
