ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Myanmar have agreed to expand cultural cooperation, with a special focus on the Gandhara Civilization and community-based projects.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Syed Usman Tahir, Honorary Advisor to the Minister for the National Heritage and Culture Division, and U Wunna Han, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, in Islamabad.
Syed Usman Tahir briefed the envoy on Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and archaeological sites, while Ambassador U Wunna Han underlined the potential for joint initiatives to strengthen bilateral cultural ties.
Both sides express their sincere commitment to promoting heritage preservation, cultural exchanges, and collaborative projects that highlight their shared history, fostering people-to-people linkages.
