Metrix Pakistan, a youth-focused organization from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has appointed two outstanding taekwondo athletes, Aysha Ayaz from Swat and Syed Abu Huraira Shah, as its official Global Sports Ambassadors. This initiative aims to provide international exposure, sponsorships, and financial support to young athletes striving for global recognition.
The announcement, made by Metrix Pakistan’s founder and CEO Hassan Nisar, highlights the organization’s commitment to empowering talented youth and addressing the lack of institutional backing many face. “We stand beside our athletes not just as sponsors, but as partners in their journey,” said Nisar. He also emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between public and private sectors to foster a sustainable sports culture in Pakistan.
Aysha Ayaz, recognized as Pakistan’s youngest taekwondo champion, has won multiple international medals and over 120 awards. Her recent successes include medals at the Thailand Open and regional championships in Qatar. She has been honored with several accolades, including the “Pride of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” and the “Proud of Pakistan Award 2024.”
Syed Abu Huraira Shah, who began competing internationally at the age of 12, has represented Pakistan in events across Asia and Europe, earning medals in Malaysia and France. His achievements have been recognized by the Pakistan Super League’s “Hamaray Heroes” initiative and the Mayor of Piossy, France.
The Metrix ambassador program not only celebrates these athletes’ achievements but also aims to inspire the next generation by positioning them as role models for youth across Pakistan. The initiative has received widespread praise and is seen as a significant step in bridging the support gap for athletes from underrepresented regions.
