Pakistani Cuisine Day Launch Features Traditional Iranian Cuisine Demonstration

On August 29, 2025, the College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM), in collaboration with the Chefs’ Association of Pakistan (CAP), officially launched Pakistani Cuisine Day, which will now be celebrated annually on 20 November. The launch event gathered a large number of national chefs who presented a variety of authentic Pakistani dishes, celebrating the country’s vibrant culinary heritage.

Adding a special international flavor to the event, an Iranian delegation joined the celebrations and showcased their traditional cuisine.

 

 

 

Their dishes received high praise from all participants for both taste and presentation. The delegation included:

All the distinguished guests were served dinner featuring Iranian cuisine, which they thoroughly enjoyed and warmly praised. This unique exchange reflected the spirit of cultural sharing and brotherhood. It also highlighted how CAP, under the leadership of Ahmad Shafiq, continues to build strong bonds with nations, fostering friendship with Iran and creating meaningful opportunities for cultural diplomacy through the art of food.

 

 

 

The event was attended by Ahmad Shafiq, CEO of  COTHM, Dr. Rick Stephen, Vice President of Worldchefs, and Mel Nathan, CEO Executive Chefs Club Australia, who highly appreciated the Iranian chefs for their outstanding contribution and applauded the collective efforts of all participants in promoting culinary diversity and excellence.

At the end of the Iranian Cuisine Demonstration, the delegation gathered for a memorable group photograph with CEO COTHM Ahmad Shafiq and Executive Chef Mohammad Raees, highlighting the spirit of cultural exchange and friendship between Pakistan and Iran through the art of cuisine.
