President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have extended warm greetings of New Year to the entire nation, overseas Pakistanis and the international community.

In their messages on the occasion of New Year, they prayed for peace and prosperity of the country and vowed to keep up the spirit of national unity and integrity as was demonstrated in May 2025 during war against India.

They reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional and global peace and also expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The President in his message said that being symbol of the unity of Federation, he is ready to lead a process of national reconciliation.

The Prime Minister vowed to continue with the economic reforms agenda which have put the country’s economy on positive trajectory.

He paid homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland in terrorist attacks and during war with India.
