Chefs Association of Pakistan (CAP) has been honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (Worldchefs) in recognition of its generous contribution to humanitarian relief efforts for the victims of the recent earthquake in Myanmar.
This prestigious acknowledgment has been jointly presented by Worldchefs President Andrew Cuthbert and Worldchefs Without Borders (WCWB) Chairman Willment Leong, underlining the global culinary body’s gratitude for CAP’s swift and heartfelt support. The donation initiative was spearheaded by Worldchefs Without Borders, the humanitarian arm of Worldchefs, which called upon its global members to unite in support of Myanmar following the devastating natural disaster.
Responding to this urgent appeal, Ahmad Shafiq, President of Chefs Association of Pakistan, personally led the donation effort, extending a financial support of €1000 on behalf of CAP to aid those affected.
“It is an honor for us to stand with the global culinary community and contribute meaningfully during times of crisis,” said Ahmad Shafiq, President of CAP. “We are deeply thankful to Worldchefs President Andrew Cuthbert and WCWB Chairman Willment Leong for this recognition. It reaffirms our belief that chefs are not only creators of cuisine but also stewards of humanity.”
The Myanmar earthquake left a trail of destruction, displacing thousands and overwhelming already strained resources. Worldchefs Without Borders activated its emergency response mechanism, urging member countries to support recovery and relief efforts. The Chefs Association of Pakistan respond the call, demonstrating not only generosity but also solidarity with a global cause.
This recognition not only highlights CAP’s leadership in Pakistan’s culinary development but also emphasizes its growing stature as a globally respected organization committed to service, compassion, and international cooperation.
