At the Pakistan NextGen Hospitality Challenge 2025, hosted by the College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM), industry leaders highlighted the potential of Pakistan’s youth in reshaping the global hospitality landscape.
Majid Bhatti, Director of Food & Beverage at Royal Swiss Hotel, Lahore, while addressing the young participants, remarked:
“You are the future of this industry. Stay dedicated, stay creative, and you will lead Pakistan’s hospitality sector onto the global stage.”
His inspiring words came during a day filled with vibrant competitions and industry interactions. The event featured teams from multiple COTHM campuses across Pakistan, competing in categories such as Front Office Management, Food & Beverage/Restaurant, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Sales & Marketing Management, Strategic Thinking in Hospitality, and Tourist Destination Management.
The presence of international dignitaries — including Dr. Rick Stephen, Vice President of Worldchefs, and Mel Nathan, Founder of Executive Chefs Club Australia — added global recognition to the event. Their participation, alongside COTHM leadership, underscored Pakistan’s emerging role in international hospitality and tourism education.
The Challenge was more than just a competition; it became a platform where mentors, hoteliers, and students interacted to exchange ideas, values, and aspirations. From motivational addresses to dynamic showcases of talent, the event symbolized a collective commitment to uplifting Pakistan’s image in the world of hospitality.
