College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM), in collaboration with the Lahore Press Club and its Hospitality Committee, successfully hosted a one-day hands-on demonstration workshop exclusively for female working journalists who are members of the Lahore Press Club. The workshop was conducted by renowned bakery expert Chef Muhammad Razzaq, who taught participants how to prepare popular desserts including Nutella cake, cupcakes, and molten lava cake.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of female journalists, all eager to learn new culinary skills in a professional setting. Participants were also given a guided tour of the COTHM campus, accompanied by Hospitality Plus Magazine Editor, Fraaz Kasuri.
Adding further prestige to the event, Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari graced the occasion as the chief guest and distributed certificates to all participants upon completion of the workshop. He expressed his gratitude to COTHM for organizing the engaging and educational session and lauded the efforts of the Hospitality Committee for coordinating the event in collaboration with COTHM.
Hospitality Committee Chairman Imran Sheikh, along with committee members Tamseela Chishti, Rafiq Khan, Khawaja Aftab Hassan, Muhsen Ali Turk, Muhammad Babar, and Fraaz Kasuri, were also present and played an instrumental role in making the event a success. Imran Sheikh praised the committee’s efforts and expressed his desire to organize more such empowering and skill-building events in the future.
COTHM Founder/President & CEO Ahmad Shafiq also addressed the gathering, commending the enthusiasm of all participants. He reiterated COTHM’s commitment to supporting the journalist community and announced that similar workshops will continue to be organized regularly. As a gesture of goodwill, he also pledged exclusive discounts for the children of Lahore Press Club members in COTHM’s academic programs.
The workshop served as a unique opportunity for professional development, networking, and personal enrichment for female journalists, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration between COTHM and the Lahore Press Club.
