COTHM DECS Recruitment Drive Shortlists 16 Candidates for Ideas

The Department of Employability & Career Services (DECS) at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) organised a recruitment drive for Ideas on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at COTHM’s New Garden Town Campus in Lahore. The initiative provided candidates with an opportunity to demonstrate their professional capabilities and explore employment prospects with a leading retail brand.

The recruitment drive brought together prospective candidates and industry representatives, creating a platform for talent assessment and career development. Participants had the opportunity to showcase their skills and present their suitability for available employment opportunities.

A total of 16 candidates were shortlisted during the recruitment process, marking a positive outcome for the initiative. The shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to progress through the employer’s subsequent recruitment stages, subject to the organisation’s selection procedures.

The activity reflects COTHM’s continued efforts to strengthen connections between education, professional development and employment. Through its Department of Employability & Career Services, the institution works to facilitate engagement between employers and candidates while helping students and job seekers prepare for the demands of the workplace.

Industry-linked recruitment activities also allow candidates to gain exposure to employer expectations and understand the importance of professional presentation, communication skills and workplace readiness. Such opportunities can help bridge the gap between academic preparation and practical employment requirements.

By facilitating recruitment opportunities with organisations across different sectors, DECS aims to support career progression and strengthen industry engagement. The collaboration with Ideas further highlights the importance of partnerships between educational institutions and employers in connecting emerging talent with potential career pathways.

COTHM continues to promote employability, professional development and industry collaboration through initiatives designed to help candidates move towards meaningful employment opportunities.

The recruitment drive reinforces COTHM’s commitment to connecting talent with industry and preparing candidates for successful professional careers.
