As Pakistan is experiencing the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, several measures have been taken to avoid the spread of coronavirus among the masses.
Where the Government of Pakistan has decided to close the schools, colleges and universities for students, at the same time, the government’s decision to keep the vocational and training institutes open for practical trainings is commendable.
This decision shows the farsightedness of the government as, soon after the things go normal, a huge number of human resource will be required by almost every sector and industry out there.
Even in the European countries and the Middle East, a sudden demand of employees would emerge to get the things back on routine. To fulfill the demand, we need to get ready and vocational and training institutes are the best source in this regard.
The manage the human resource willing to go abroad from Pakistan in an effective way, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource should be prepared to handle the things smoothly.
The results of COVID-19 vaccine trials are also going successful and there is a big hope that the world would be back on track soon.
Pakistan has also approved a budget of $150 Million to bring COVID-19 vaccine to the country; that is also quite encouraging.
Undoubtedly, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood and other team members at National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) deserve appreciation for handling the current situation wisely and allowing the vocational and training institutes to continue the trainings.
I hope that vocational institutes would work even harder to produce a man force which would be able to take up the challenges posed after the end of the second wave of coronavirus.
