Deputy PM Ishaq Dar Arrives in Washington for Key Talks with US Leadership

Washington, DC (The Azadi Times) — Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, arrived in Washington on Thursday night, marking the second leg of his eight-day visit to the United States.

Upon arrival, he was warmly received by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, along with senior officials from the embassy.

During his visit to Washington, Senator Dar is scheduled to hold an important meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the Department of State. The discussions will center on enhancing Pakistan-US bilateral relations, with an emphasis on trade, investment, and economic cooperation.

In addition to diplomatic engagements, the deputy prime minister will also address the renowned US think tank The Atlantic Council, where he will present Pakistan’s perspective on regional and global affairs as well as the future direction of Pakistan-US ties.

This visit is being viewed as a critical step in reinvigorating strategic dialogue between Islamabad and Washington amid evolving global dynamics.
