Chefs Association of Pakistan (CAP), in strategic collaboration with the College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM), is set to celebrate Pakistani Cuisine Day on November 20, 2025, marking a landmark moment in the country’s culinary evolution. The initiative aims to present Pakistan’s rich gastronomic heritage on the global culinary map and unify the nation in honouring its food, culture, and hospitality.
Conceptualized by CAP and COTHM, the celebration has been embraced nationwide, with culinary institutes, hospitality schools, vocational centres, and the wider education sector invited to participate. The campaign seeks to promote the diversity of Pakistani cuisine, revive traditional recipes, and showcase regional ingredients, while highlighting the deep connection between food, culture, tourism, and heritage.
In the lead-up to the main celebration, November 17, 18, and 19 have been reserved for an extensive series of cooking competitions held across the entire COTHM Colleges Network. Students and young chefs will compete in various categories centred exclusively on Pakistani cuisine—ranging from regional specialties and forgotten traditional dishes to innovative interpretations of classic flavours. The competitions aim to inspire culinary creativity while reinforcing pride in Pakistan’s local ingredients and culinary legacy.
On November 20, all COTHM campuses across Pakistan—spanning major cities and regional hubs—will host grand celebrations simultaneously. These events will feature cooking demonstrations, cultural displays, traditional food stalls, and interactive sessions to highlight the depth of Pakistan’s culinary identity. The synchronized celebrations are expected to create a national atmosphere of festivity and pride.
CAP & COTHM have extended invitations to a wide range of stakeholders, including food bloggers, influencers, chefs, educationists, policy makers, business leaders, socialites, civil society representatives, food brands, corporations, and hospitality organisations. Their participation will help amplify the significance of the day and strengthen Pakistan’s culinary narrative at home and abroad.
CAP and COTHM emphasize that Pakistani Cuisine Day is more than a one-day event—it is a strategic step toward building Pakistan’s identity in the global culinary community. By mobilizing institutions nationwide, encouraging public participation, and showcasing regional diversity, the initiative aspires to position Pakistani cuisine among the world’s most celebrated food cultures.
As preparations gain momentum, Pakistan’s hospitality and culinary sectors stand united in presenting a powerful message to Worldchefs and the international community: Pakistan is ready to claim its rightful place on the global gastronomic stage.
