Culinary Excellence Beyond Vision: National Blind Cooking Competition 2025 Celebrates Skill, Inclusion, and Determination

Islamabad: The College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM), in collaboration with the Pakistan Foundation Fighting Blindness (PFFB), proudly hosted the National Blind Cooking Competition 2025, a landmark event celebrating inclusivity, resilience, and culinary excellence.

The competition brought together more than 25 visually impaired participants from across the country, each demonstrating exceptional skill, creativity, and professionalism. From traditional desi cuisines to finely crafted sweet dishes, every presentation reflected dedication, confidence, and a deep passion for the culinary arts. The event powerfully reinforced the message that true vision lies in talent, discipline, and determination rather than physical ability.

The competition was evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges, including Chef Hasnain, Chef Qazi Abbas, and Chef Saira Riaz, alongside other respected professionals from the hospitality industry. Their expert assessment and encouragement played a vital role in motivating the participants and highlighting the high standards achieved throughout the competition.

COTHM was also honored by the presence of Khawaja Farhan Anjum, Group President and CEO of KGN Builders & Developers, whose support further strengthened the spirit of empowerment and inclusion behind the initiative.

The National Blind Cooking Competition 2025 stood as a proud and inspiring milestone, emphasizing equal opportunity, skill-based empowerment, and the limitless potential of individuals with disabilities. The event reaffirmed COTHM’s commitment to inclusive education and social responsibility within Pakistan’s hospitality sector.
