COTHM Pakistan hosted an engaging Food Styling Workshop led by Chef Maida Siddiqui, a food styling expert, giving participants an opportunity to explore the creative techniques behind professional food presentation and visual storytelling.
The workshop focused on how thoughtful plating, composition and creative styling can transform a dish into an appealing visual experience. Participants explored the importance of presentation in contemporary culinary practice and learned how visual details can enhance the overall impression of food.

Led by Maida Siddiqui, the session highlighted food styling as an important skill that connects culinary creativity with visual communication. Beyond preparing a dish, food professionals increasingly need to understand how to present food in ways that capture attention, communicate quality and create a memorable impression.

The workshop also highlighted the growing relevance of food styling in restaurant branding, food photography, digital content creation, menu development and hospitality marketing. With social media and visual platforms playing an increasingly influential role in the food industry, the ability to create attractive food presentations has become a valuable professional skill for chefs and culinary students.

Through this initiative, COTHM continued to provide learning opportunities that extend beyond traditional kitchen training, encouraging students and participants to develop creative abilities alongside their culinary knowledge.

The session reinforced the institution’s emphasis on the idea that culinary excellence involves more than taste. Presentation, creativity and attention to detail are also essential elements of a compelling dining experience.
