COTHM Hosts PATO Executive Committee Elections 2026

COTHM Pakistan hosted the Pakistan Association of Tour Operators (PATO) Executive Committee Elections 2026 at its facility on 15 September 2026, providing a professional venue for members of Pakistan’s tour operator community to participate in the association’s electoral process.

According to PATO’s official election schedule, polling for the 2026–2028 Executive Committee was conducted on 15 September across designated locations, including Islamabad, Lahore, Gilgit-Baltistan and Karachi. The polling was scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., followed by the counting of votes and announcement of provisional results under the supervision of the Election Commission.

The nationwide polling process brought together PATO members from different regions, reflecting the geographical diversity of Pakistan’s tourism and tour operator community. According to the information shared by COTHM, 174 members cast their votes, demonstrating participation from across the association’s membership.

COTHM’s role as a host for the Lahore polling activity reflects its engagement with Pakistan’s tourism and travel industry. As an institution involved in Travel, Tourism and Aviation education, COTHM provides academic and professional platforms that connect students and industry stakeholders.

The election also provided an opportunity for members of the tour operator community to participate in the association’s governance and representation process. PATO’s published election framework sets out a formal schedule covering voter lists, nominations, scrutiny, polling, counting and subsequent stages leading to the final election results.

For COTHM, supporting an industry association activity of this nature complements its broader focus on strengthening links between education and the professional tourism sector. Engagement with industry bodies can provide opportunities for dialogue, professional networking and greater understanding of the operational environment in which future tourism professionals will work.

The PATO elections come at a time when Pakistan’s tourism industry continues to bring together tour operators, travel companies and destination specialists working across the country. PATO describes itself as an association representing tour operators and highlights the role of its members in organising tours across Pakistan.

COTHM expressed its commitment to supporting initiatives that encourage professional collaboration, industry engagement and the development of Pakistan’s tourism sector.

The institution’s participation as a host underscores its connection with the wider travel and tourism ecosystem and its interest in creating platforms where industry professionals can come together.
