The Lahore Restaurant Association (LRA) has warmly welcomed the Government of Punjab’s decision to lift the 10PM restriction on restaurants, terming it a timely and business-friendly relief for the hospitality sector.
LRA President Nisar Chaudhry stated that the decision reflects the government’s understanding of industry challenges and will help restore business activity, customer flow, and investor confidence in the restaurant sector.
LRA Secretary General Ahmad Shafiq expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister Punjab, stating that the move will significantly support restaurant sustainability, protect jobs, and ease operational pressures during prevailing economic conditions.
LRA Chairman Kamran Sheikh termed the decision a “positive and constructive step,” adding that it will help the industry recover momentum and strengthen overall business viability.
LRA Executive Members Ali Chaudhary and Raza Ahmad also appreciated the government’s facilitation, stating that the relief will directly benefit restaurants of all scales by improving customer engagement and easing financial pressure.
The LRA leadership collectively acknowledged the role of all stakeholders involved in the process and reiterated that continuous dialogue between the industry and government is essential for sustainable growth of the hospitality sector.
They further emphasized that such business-friendly decisions will help strengthen employment, encourage investment, and support the long-term stability of Punjab’s restaurant industry.
