The 41st biennial World Association of Chefs’ Societies Congress & Expo 2026 successfully concluded in Newport, Wales, after bringing together leading chefs, culinary educators, hospitality professionals, and food industry stakeholders from around the world from May 16–19, 2026.
Held in the United Kingdom for the first time in the organization’s 98-year history, the prestigious global gathering celebrated culinary excellence, innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration under the theme “Pasture, Passion, Plate.”
The four-day event welcomed nearly 800 delegates representing various countries and culinary associations. Participants engaged in high-level networking sessions, educational forums, live demonstrations, and industry discussions focused on the future of gastronomy and hospitality.
Representing Pakistan at the prestigious international event were Ahmad Shafiq, President of the Chefs Association of Pakistan (CAP), and Mian Shahid Mehmood, Secretary General of CAP. Both delegates actively represented Pakistan and highlighted the country’s growing culinary and hospitality potential at the global platform.
One of the major highlights of the Congress was the participation of internationally renowned chef Marco Pierre White, alongside a distinguished lineup of culinary experts and thought leaders who shared insights on emerging food trends, sustainability, culinary education, and professional development.
The event also featured the highly anticipated Global Chefs Challenge Finals, where talented chefs from across the world showcased exceptional culinary skills and creativity in front of an international audience and jury panel.
In addition to the competitions and knowledge sessions, the Expo provided an extensive platform for exhibitors and global brands to present the latest innovations, products, technologies, and services shaping the future of the food and beverage industry.
The successful hosting of the Congress in Wales marked a significant milestone for the international culinary community and reinforced the growing global importance of collaborative learning, cultural exchange, and professional excellence in the hospitality sector.
