A delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic, headed by Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Azygaliev, paid an official visit to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the visit, the delegation held a significant meeting with Chairperson of the Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva, to discuss current issues and the future prospects of interparliamentary cooperation.
Both sides emphasized the vital role of parliamentary diplomacy in maintaining a sustainable political dialogue between the two friendly nations. They expressed satisfaction with the steady progress of bilateral relations, which continue to strengthen through high-level visits and joint participation in international parliamentary forums.
A key focus of the discussions was the successful model of holding Interparliamentary Commission meetings at the regional level. The parties agreed that these meetings not only enhance interregional ties but also create an effective platform for direct dialogue between parliamentarians of both countries.
Special mention was made of the First Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan Tourism Forum, recently held in Samarkand under the framework of the Interparliamentary Commission. The forum was highlighted as an important milestone in deepening tourism and economic cooperation.
In conclusion, both delegations reaffirmed their mutual commitment to expanding collaboration within international parliamentary structures and initiating joint projects that support regional friendship, good neighborliness, and sustainable development.
