In a strong push to support the growth and sustainability of Lahore’s hospitality sector, a high-level delegation of the Lahore Restaurant Association (LRA) has formally urged authorities to extend restaurant operating hours from 10 PM to 11 PM.

The delegation, led by President Nisar Chaudhary and Secretary General Ahmad Shafiq, along with other executive members, visited the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to present their case. The current restriction of closing restaurants by 10 PM, imposed due to prevailing circumstances, has become a significant concern for the industry.

During the meeting with LCCI President Faheem Rahman Sehgal, the delegation emphasized that the primary objective is to secure an extension in business hours to 11 PM. They highlighted that this adjustment would provide much-needed operational flexibility, improve customer accessibility, and support the overall performance of the restaurant sector.
The representatives clearly stated that the request is focused on facilitating business continuity and growth, ensuring that restaurants can better serve customers while maintaining their economic viability.
LCCI President Faheem Rahman Sehgal acknowledged the importance of the matter and assured the delegation of his full support. He agreed to raise the issue with the concerned authorities and advocate for the restaurant industry’s request.

The meeting reflected a united stance on strengthening Lahore’s hospitality sector, with both sides expressing optimism that constructive steps will be taken to address the concerns of restaurant owners and stakeholders.
The proposed extension, if approved, is expected to provide a positive boost to the city’s vibrant dining culture and business ecosystem.
