The Punjab government has announced the completion of 1,129 roads in just 75 days, describing the achievement as a significant milestone in its ongoing infrastructure development programme aimed at improving connectivity and accelerating economic progress across the province.
According to government officials, the large-scale road construction campaign is designed to strengthen transportation networks in both urban and rural areas, making travel safer, faster, and more efficient for millions of residents. The newly completed roads are expected to improve access to schools, hospitals, markets, and commercial centers while enhancing mobility for commuters, businesses, and agricultural communities.
Officials said the improved road infrastructure will help reduce travel times, lower transportation costs, facilitate trade, and stimulate economic activity by creating better links between cities, towns, and villages. The initiative is also expected to support regional development by improving access to essential public services and encouraging investment in underserved areas.
The government stated that the rapid completion of these projects reflects its commitment to delivering high-quality public infrastructure through efficient planning and timely execution. Authorities added that road development remains a key component of Punjab’s broader strategy to modernize infrastructure, strengthen regional connectivity, and improve the quality of life for citizens.
