The College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) Pakistan celebrated Pakistan-Indonesia Friendship Day with a vibrant gathering that brought together students, faculty, and distinguished representatives from the Embassy of Indonesia in Pakistan to celebrate the longstanding bonds of friendship, cultural understanding, and people-to-people connections between the two nations.
The event was honored by the presence of Rahmat Hindiarta Kusuma, Chargé d’Affaires, along with Nugroho Kridasantosa and Muhammad Khairul Ajyal, staff members of the Indonesian Embassy. Their participation added a distinguished diplomatic dimension to the celebration and reflected the importance of strengthening friendly relations between Pakistan and Indonesia through education, culture, and student engagement.
A major highlight of the event was the participation of Indonesian students at COTHM, who proudly showcased their culinary heritage through a presentation of traditional Padang cuisine. The students demonstrated their culinary skills while introducing guests to the distinctive flavors, preparation methods, and cultural traditions associated with Padang food.
The culinary showcase provided students with an opportunity to share their cultural heritage while demonstrating the professional skills they are developing through their education at COTHM.
