COTHM Hosts “Let’s Bake It!” for HR Professionals from Leading Restaurants and Hotels

The Department of Employability & Career Services (DECS) at COTHM Pakistan organised “Let’s Bake It!”, an exclusive baking experience for human resources (HR) professionals, at its New Garden Town campus in Lahore.

The activity provided a relaxed and interactive setting for HR professionals from the hospitality, hotel and restaurant sectors to connect, network, exchange experiences and participate in a hands-on baking activity.

The session was conducted by Chef Faiza Iqbal, Head of Department (HOD) of Baking & Patisserie at COTHM Pakistan, who guided participants through the baking experience. The initiative combined practical culinary engagement with professional networking, offering attendees an opportunity to interact beyond their usual workplace settings.

Representatives associated with a range of hospitality and food businesses joined the event, including Faletti’s Hotel, Maisonette Hotel, Brim Burger, Yani Pakistan, Salt & Pepper, Cosa Nostra, Howdy, Pizza Online, DumxBroast, The Last Tribe, Baskin-Robbins, Cakes & Bakes, Rare and Bito Restaurant.

By bringing together professionals from different segments of the hospitality industry, the activity highlighted the value of relationship-building and continued engagement between education providers and industry stakeholders.

The initiative also reflected DECS’s role in facilitating professional connections between COTHM and the hospitality sector. Such engagement can support dialogue around workforce needs, employability, practical skills and the expectations of employers in a competitive industry.

Through activities that combine experiential learning with networking, COTHM Pakistan continues to provide opportunities for interaction between culinary education and hospitality professionals.

“Let’s Bake It!” offered participating HR professionals an opportunity to step into a hands-on culinary environment while strengthening professional connections across Lahore’s hospitality and food-service community.
