COTHM Job Readiness Programme Concludes with Industry-Focused Competitions and Practical Evaluations

COTHM Pakistan concluded its six-day Job Readiness Programme with a series of practical activities, workplace simulations and industry-focused competitions designed to assess students’ professional skills and readiness for employment.

Held at the COTHM campus, the final day brought together the skills and knowledge developed throughout the programme, giving students an opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities in realistic workplace situations.

The concluding activities focused on workplace professionalism, grooming, personal appearance, hygiene, confidence and professional conduct. Through mock activities and practical competitions, students were encouraged to apply their learning and demonstrate the standards expected in professional hospitality environments.

The final evaluation involved industry representatives, including executive chefs, HR heads, management professionals and heads of departments (HODs). Their participation provided students with exposure to industry expectations, while the evaluation process helped identify the Top Three performers based on their performance in the final activities.

The programme emphasized that employability extends beyond technical knowledge. Communication, personal presentation, workplace discipline, confidence and the ability to respond appropriately to professional situations are also essential for building successful careers in hospitality and related sectors.

The final-day activities provided a practical opportunity to assess participants’ progress and reinforce the importance of continuous professional development. By engaging students in workplace simulations and industry-led evaluations, COTHM aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and employment requirements.

The completion of the six-day programme reflects COTHM Pakistan’s commitment to preparing students for the workplace through practical learning, professional guidance and industry engagement. The initiative supports the development of a skilled, confident and employment-ready hospitality workforce aligned with evolving industry expectations.
