College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) was honored with the prestigious ‘Best Tourism & Hospitality College/University Award’ at the National Tourism Awards 2024 on September 27, 2024. The event, organized by Discover Pakistan TV in collaboration with Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), took place on the eve of ‘World Tourism Day’ at Serena Hotel, Islamabad.
The award, which recognizes excellence in the tourism and hospitality education sector, was presented in the presence of notable dignitaries, with Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Planning Development & Special Initiatives of Pakistan Minister Ahsan Iqbal, PTDC Managing Director Aftab ur Rehman Rana as guests of honour. Representing COTHM, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Zaheer Ahmad graciously received the award.
With a total of 21 award categories celebrating various aspects of Pakistan’s tourism industry, COTHM’s achievement stands out as a testament to its unwavering dedication to developing top-tier education in hospitality and tourism management. This recognition further solidifies COTHM’s leadership in shaping the future of these dynamic fields through cutting-edge training, education, and industry collaboration.
