Chefs Association of Pakistan (CAP), in strategic partnership with College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM), successfully concluded the highly anticipated Grand Culinary Show and Master Chef Challenge 2024. Held over three action-packed days from August 9th to 11th in the food capital of Pakistan, Lahore, the event brought together an impressive gathering of culinary arts students, professional chefs, industry experts, and food enthusiasts.

The Master Chef Challenge, the centerpiece of the event, showcased the remarkable talent and creativity within Pakistan’s culinary community. Participants from various eateries and culinary institutions across the country competed fiercely in multiple categories, demonstrating their skills in both hot and cold kitchens. The event not only celebrated culinary excellence but also provided a vital platform for budding and established chefs to gain recognition and further their careers.

The competition was judged by an esteemed panel of culinary experts, including Chef Usama Waleem Asghar (Head of Jury), Chef Jahanzaib Babar, Chef Muqarrab, Chef Naeem Jamil, Chef Taimoor Khan, Chef Ahsan Khan, Chef Subyal, Chef Adil Aziz, Chef Hamza, Chef Tayyaba Younas, and Chef Abid Hussain Balti. Their expertise and discerning evaluation ensured that the winners were truly deserving of the prestigious Master Chef titles.

The competition’s professional category saw chefs battling for the coveted Master Chef titles in both hot and cold kitchen categories. The final event was graced by notable industry leaders, including Chef Basit Virk, Cluster Chef at National Foods, Noor Qureshi, Trade Marketing Manager at Shafaq Oil, and Zuabir Ahmad, CEO of Crystal Detergents. Their presence added to the prestige of the event, highlighting the importance of industry support in nurturing and recognizing culinary talent in Pakistan.

CAP, the only national association of chefs in Pakistan affiliated with Worldchefs, Paris, remains committed to fostering growth and innovation within the culinary industry.
