After a closure of almost five months, the government has finally allowed the restaurants to resume their services, and that’s all because of the active role of the restaurant associations throughout this crisis. The Lahore Restaurants Association, the All Pakistan Restaurants Association, and the Islamabad Restaurants Association deserve appreciation for bringing up this matter to the authorities concerned and convincing them to reopen the restaurants to save the even bigger crisis of unemployment. All the representative restaurant associations are humbly thankful to the government and especially Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat, who personally briefed the National Command and Control Center (NCOC) about the situation of the restaurant industry. It is hoped that this reopening of restaurants will not only save the jobs of millions of employees but also contribute to the economy of the country.
