Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The UN Tourism General Assembly has announced the admission of a new cohort of Affiliate Members, reflecting a diverse and dynamic mix of organizations from across the globe. The newly admitted members include 2 Destination Management Organizations, 7 for-profit companies, 6 associations and NGOs, 3 universities, and 4 other entities.
Geographically, the new members span 14 countries: 3 from the Americas, 4 from Asia and the Pacific, 9 from Europe, and 6 from the Middle East.
UN Tourism Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili commented on the milestone:
“As we celebrate 50 years of UN Tourism, our growing Affiliate Members network—now exceeding 500 entities across 80 countries—continues to lead with innovation, expertise, and shared purpose. Together, UN Tourism and its Affiliate Members are shaping a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient sector, delivering tangible impact through cooperation, knowledge, and action for destinations and communities worldwide.”

The admission of these new members was officially endorsed during the 26th Session of the UN Tourism General Assembly, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 7–11 November 2025.
