In a landmark and inspiring development for Pakistan’s tourism and hospitality sector, COTHM has become the first Pakistani  Institute to Achieve UN Tourism Affiliate Membership for Pakistan. This historic recognition marks a major breakthrough for the country’s education landscape and opens new global pathways for Pakistani youth.

The delegation, present at the 26th UN Tourism General Assembly in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, praised Ahmad Shafiq’s leadership in elevating Pakistan’s hospitality education to global standards. They highlighted the significance of this milestone in showcasing Pakistan as a key player in international tourism and hospitality networks.

The achievement positions Pakistan on the international map of UN Tourism–recognized academic institutions, reflecting growing global confidence in Pakistan’s hospitality education potential.
