Ahmad Shafiq joins the PTM High-Level Special Briefing to Align Vision for PTM 2026

Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) hosted a high-level Special Briefing and Networking Session, bringing together senior government leadership, members of the diplomatic community, and key stakeholders from Pakistan’s travel, tourism, and aviation sectors. The session aimed to align stakeholders on the vision, scale, and international opportunities associated with Pakistan Travel Mart 2026, positioning it as a flagship platform for global tourism engagement.

The briefing was managed and led under the patronage of Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Advisor and National Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Tourism, Government of Pakistan, reflecting a strong commitment to partnership-driven and sustainable tourism growth.

Opening remarks were delivered by Ms. Rafia Syed, Director General, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), who emphasized the importance of coordinated public-private collaboration in promoting Pakistan as a competitive tourism destination.

A detailed presentation on Pakistan Travel Mart 2026 was delivered by Ms. Adeeba Khalid Jadoon, Chief Marketing Officer, Pakistan Travel Mart. She highlighted the evolution of PTM as an international B2B platform, outlining new participation opportunities, enhanced exhibition formats, and expanded avenues for global engagement.

The session was further strengthened by the presence of Mr. Ahmad Shafiq, Founder, President and CEO of COTHM Global, and Mr. Aftab Rana, Managing Director, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), who shared valuable insights and reinforced the importance of industry–academia–institutional linkages for long-term tourism development.

From the aviation perspective, Mr. Mohamad Shafique, Director Commercial, Airblue, emphasized collaboration opportunities between airlines and tourism stakeholders to support international connectivity and inbound travel growth.

Special briefing remarks were also delivered by , underscoring institutional alignment and collective engagement as key drivers for the success of PTM 2026.

Representatives from diplomatic missions, leading airlines, tour operators, hospitality groups, and travel companies actively participated in focused discussions, exploring B2B collaboration and strategic participation in PTM 2026. The session concluded on a strong note, reaffirming Pakistan Travel Mart’s role as a unifying platform for advancing Pakistan’s tourism vision on the global stage.
