Mustajab Ahmad, General Manager of Quality Assurance, Research and Development at Cakes & Bakes, emphasized the critical role of quality assurance and continuous innovation in strengthening Pakistan’s food safety standards during a panel discussion hosted by the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) on “Transforming Pakistan’s Food Safety to Meet International Standards.”

Speaking to an audience of hospitality students, industry professionals, and food sector stakeholders, Mustajab Ahmad stressed that maintaining consistent quality in food production is essential to protect consumer health and build trust in the industry. He highlighted that innovation in products and processes must always be accompanied by strict adherence to food safety protocols.

“In the food business, quality assurance is a continuous process. Innovation must always be supported by strict safety protocols and professional discipline,” he said.

During the discussion, Ahmad shared insights on implementing effective quality control systems, improving food handling practices, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the industry. He emphasized that strong quality assurance measures are key to aligning Pakistan’s food production with international standards and enhancing competitiveness in the global market.
At the end of the session, Founder, President and CEO of COTHM, Ahmad Shafiq, presented Mustajab Ahmad with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his valuable contribution, time, and insightful perspectives on food safety, quality, and innovation in Pakistan’s food industry.
